Wife and I were just saying the same thing.

 

I dunno she sounded pretty confident about it. You should have asked her to prove it.

 

I sat one evening at a group get together with a young man who kept complaining about how materialistic and expensive his girlfriend was. Then he'd tell me how beautiful she is and how his buddies loved her shapely figure, pretty clothes, how she was such a stunner.
He couldn't see that his instinct for surface beauty was trapping him in relationships with women who had the same priorities. He wants a gorgeous model but can't understand how that takes so much time and money.
Would you guys be able to rattle off bore specs and standard transmission ratios (or whatever- I'm no gear head) IF YOU DON'T DO THE RESEARCH AND SHOP TIME??? It's no different.
Fashion trends i.e. watch those influencers or whoever makes up that ####.
Make up-- expensive for the quality stuff and time to apply and remove and repair the skin continously.

cmon guys- it's not rocket science once you get old enough you realize momma ain't magic, everything she does takes work behind the scenes, and maybe money too...

point is if you keep getting the same kind of girlfriend it's about YOU not them....
