For the record, I call liberals “Morons”. Some might consider it an insult to morons, but oh well.

If liberals wants to start giving me their own money, I might stop calling them morons.

 

You make a post that basically says American's are racist and bigoted, then don't like it when you get called out about it. Screw you. I'm born & raised in the south & proud of it,but people like you who only know what you read on the internet and take it as gospel don't have a clue.

 

After reading a transcript of what he had said it really didn't sound like hate speech to me. He called them out for being disrespectful towards the country they chose to make their home. I felt he made a valid point.

 

He focused on immigrants, and spoke in a really condescending tone. Contextually it was quite bigoted. I understand he was trying to make a point about respecting veterans, but he could definitely have dialed back on focusing on a single group of people.

 

Sure he wasn't referring to the Sedin sisters?

 

It's dam sure a mix, that's for sure.

Well, considering I'm Canadian, Don Cherry is Canadian and this issue occurred on a Canadian broadcasting network, I'm not sure the relevancy of the USA's Constitutional Right to Free Speech on the matter.

Don cherry has spent 40 years telling hockey viewers in Canada to honor their ancestors that fought by wearing a poppy. Who do you think he was talking to in 1980? He was talking to born and bred Canadians and nobody said a word.

And now, because he tells immigrants to wear a poppy there is an uproar. There is racism in this scenario but it ain’t from Don Cherry.

This is the dictionary definition of reverse racism. God bless Don Cherry. I say again you and your ilk make me sick
