When money is borrowed from a bank, it's not the bank's money that is lent. The bank borrows that money from the Fed, and then lends it to the consumer. Now it's more complicated than that, but that's basically what happens.

So the bank pays the interest rate that the Fed sets, the consumer pays an interest rate somewhere above that to the bank, this is where the bank makes it's profit.

So what's the problem with extremely low interest rates then?

One is that it encourages lending to consumers who would not qualify if the rates were higher. A smaller "bank", (in quotes because while it must legally be a bank, is really just a short term lender), will underwrite a loan, making a small profit on fees. That loan is then bundled with a bunch of other loans and sold to a big bank. The original underwriters could care less about wether or not the consumer is able to repay long term, just get it wrote and funded, cause they're gonna be out in a few months.

The lower the cost of money is for the underwriters, the easier it is to turn a profit, which encourages these lenders to write more. This creates economic bubbles and bursts, which are good for people that have enough capital to take advantage, but bad for the average consumer.

Now that you're bored to tears, lets remember that the borrower is slave to the lender, and that lender, ultimately, is the Fed.

There was a time couple years ago that it was scary to do a topset on an isx cause the cams would always be galling. Worst is you would get all the new cams and rockers in, have everything buttoned up and find you cant set the valves cause they were coming up through the head so bad. Rip it all apart again just to put a head on. Started measuring valve heights after one of those....

@tramm01 Sorry I been tied up. Have not ran a recent new landoll. 2008 newest. But have ran and maintained hydraulic tilt bed trailers. Landoll, and National. They are heavy. You will sheet buying the brake drums and shoes. Most of the time the tires rot before worn and the 17.5's are expensive for the size. Anything with hydraulics has the same added maintaince which is more. Greasing rollers and pivot is important along with cylinder pins. But nothing more than any other special equipment. But versatility and speed for small, medium equipment is unmatched. I can tell you that it's a must for a towing operation that transports equipment on the side. We hauled wrecked tractors, trailers, equipment. It's the only way to tow a limo. Sat it across a ditch as a bridge. They will do way more than recommended. Had a know it all guy ask turnpike to shut down a ramp to get a jack knifed pickup and boat from the bottom of a clover leaf because he wanted a big wrecker and said he couldnt get it with a med duty rollback. Lazy sob that couldnt complete a job by himself. I rolled in tractor/ landoll and with a few snatch blocks and 1 side puller attachment winched it out 180° and loaded in one pull. I will say a heavy concentrated load is not the best on it. One time only sat a 49k coil just behind center. Only went about 11 miles and glad that was it. But opening the road was the name of the game. The biggest limiting factor I see is it ground height. They are heavy and well built.

Add a pulley/snatch block to the rear self unload non functional equipment.

Yeah I get that. That’s why it costs nothing. It’s not real, it’s just paper so why not print it at give it to the banks to give away so you create jobs and collect tax off it? Only answer is inflation.

They are playing games with us. They tell us inflation is low but if you’ve priced trucks lately, or bought parts or tried to hire skilled labor you know inflation is rampant.

Same thing happened to my coworker in VA except it was a construction zone where the right lane ended. With a good mile after the signs there was no excuse!! But dum dum in a Ford Bronco 2 decided Tony should just slam on the brakes for his holier than though ###, didn’t work out for him....... the right side mirror with the big heavy mirror braces extended down the door blowed out his side window lol. Tony pulled over once through the construction, guy ran up in front of him and jumped out screaming at Tony...... LMAO!!! Tony gets out and starts walking towards the guy and his whole attitude changed lol, he decided the cops needed to be called pronto as he jumped back in his Bronco.

Ever use a Milwaukee 1/2” magnum electric drill? ever have one lock up with a 1” bit in it????? Tony was bent over using that drill when it locked up...... he didn’t turn loose neither!!! When it finally stopped, Tony handed the remains to Bobby. Drill body literally exploded from the torque!!! Yes Tony is strong as 3 rows of green onions!!! Guys lucky he ran back to his clunker!!’ :D

Edit: I wear size XL gloves, Tony wears XXL.....
