Because the dollar is the world's base currency. If it suddenly became like the yuan, the world would probably turn to the pound sterling.

That would greatly diminish the US's influence on the global stage.

And yes inflation is rampant, which is another reason not to lower interest rates.

 

@rank to put it in your terms, you give the gov 4 quarts of maple syrup. 3 for taxes and one to help under privileged people that dont have syrup. But your goverment gives it instead to a hockey team's owner that ownes stock in a few syrup companies.

Pipeline industry in my part of the world has been slow for about a year now. Fewer developments because of the cost of doing business has gone up. Can't count how many e-mails we've received from vendors/manufacturers regarding materials cost increases and the percentages haven't been small. During prime construction months when things are good, we're A-holes and Elbows moving materials, over time is plenty and Hellsapoppin.

This spring/summer felt like fall/winter. Now that we're in the typical slow season things have come to a crawl. Getting ready to set up a dart board to pass the time.

Going to light the fuse and couldn’t give 2 craps if it offends — didn’t have a clue who Don Cherry is yesterday but did a little research and just watched him on Tucker Carlson — the man speaks the truth. I (and quite a few others) have been saying about the same thing for 30 years. The people he is backing -along with me and mine- never talked #### to death or joined a debate club — just signed up, went out and did what had to be done. If people can’t handle that, F’m with a capital F — Don will be just fine and he shouldn’t back up one step. The ones that fired him will wake up, look in the mirror and still see a D bag looking back.

Theres 3 cylinders if i remember right, and a midship carriage between the ends. Lot of hoses. I cut and replaced a bunch of xmembers out of one. Landolls seem to have happier owners than traileze in my experience.

 

This is a series 60. Does all this still apply in my situation?
My fuel mileage has been tanking. 2nd quarter 8.89 average. 3rd down to 7.76. Burning 0 oil still. Going to drop pan & inspect rods & mains.

So I need to check all valve heights before removing cam to make sure it's all in spec.? If not will require head also..?
