LoL Too late, I scare easily!!

Non the less, I appreciate your input, on the subject.
Trying to make an informed decision on what to do..
Thanks.Feedman, Tall Mike, blairandgretchen and 13 others Thank this. -
My weed eater and snowblower are equipped as manufactured. My Harley 02 sensors plugging holes in the header. Wife claims she must keep a eye on me or I'll hot rod the toaster.
Isafarmboy, Feedman, Tall Mike and 14 others Thank this. -
We grewup hanging the dish towels on the stove handle. Mom even had fancy Christmas towels she'd put out.
We hang a towel on the stove and sissy takes it down....but you never see her do it.

I really hate when people go back on something they said or did and apologize thinking everything will be ok. Didn't a certain country leader just recently do something like that and all was forgiven?Isafarmboy, Feedman, Slowpoke KW and 15 others Thank this.

I will look closely at the rocker adjusters in the AM. Thanks.
I saw the metal clip you speak of. He told me I still had old style adjusters, & they NEEDED to be updated. Is this b s? Or are they not available any longer & that's why I need updated style?
Clock on truck show 1,030,000. Have yet to check ecm miles. Is it possible nobody has ever run an overhead on it? 09/92 ddec 2.
Truck seems to run out fine. No oil consumption, runs smooth, slight haze out the stacks hammer down, but fuel mileage down from 8.89-7.76mpg. Never would have know of the cam scoring if I didn't ask for overhead.. -
So is mine.
At least that's what I like to tell myself to not feel bad about my neighbors smelling/hearing it warm up in the morning. (Not that I actually feel bad...)
Feedman, Tall Mike, Slowpoke KW and 13 others Thank this. -
You are right on so many levels with this post, it's not even funny..
I just kind of popped up here, & never really introduced myself, or what I do. So..
Names Mike, I'm 35 & live in Palmetto, FL. Authority since '13. Never worked in trucking except for myself. Run a '93 FLD120, 11.1 series 60, fuller 9 speed & '20 48' Doonan lo-pro step. I have a couple directs with out bound freight. Only 1-2 loads per month. I run some spot market, & few good brokers Ive met keep me moving. I spend most time running the rust belt. Around 21day trips till I come home. I own my equipment outright. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, but need supervision. LoL No shop, tools (other than basic handtools) no place to work on stuff. I do what I can with what I got for now..
So anyway, yes 4-5 business days for the parts & it is a reman/refurbished camshaft. I've been down 8 days already. I do run far from home so I need to ask in the AM about how'd they'd stand behind the job.?
Like you, he did also say the flakes should be filtered & none are on the plug or seen in the drain pan. Truck does have 2 full flow, & 1 bypass oil filter on it. Might help some..
FL has the worst "mechanics" I've ever seen. The saying, if you want something done right you better do it yourself, couldn't be more true around here..
Thanks for taking the time to help me think from aspects I overlooked & sharing your knowledge & past experiences..
2CAN, Isafarmboy, 7-UP and 24 others Thank this. -
You wouldn't happen to be think'n of this here fella, now would ya..lol
