Setting here watching Engineering Catastrophes when they show the wreck of the Sunset Limited..... knowing what happened there, it was always a eerie place in a sense.....

 

I remember our track protection Mr. Owens talking about the engine car sticking down in the soft marsh. He said if it would have went another 30 feet the people in the front may have made it.... but the soft mud blew the windows out and killed them. I’ve driven / hyrailed across this bridge many times, gives a odd feeling. Somewhere I have a video hytailing across this bridge..... Bayou Canot.
