Credit card deposit up front.

I rented a boom lift last week. They took my credit card over the phone when I booked the lift and charged a $1,000 deposit. They refunded me $300 after the days rental was over.

 

Lap the plungers and barrels, notch the rack bar to relieve pressure and let it move more freely. Put new springs and weights in the governor assembly and reseal timing advance. Black smoke can be a sign of retarded timing though if I'm remembering right yours looked more like the fuel screws are in the glove box

 

Buttons pulled. Log book in lunch pale to do some creative coloring when I feel like it. Time to fire up old Henry and motor to the house.

Same. Next day with a low below freezing is Dec 6. Hand shelled a corn sample st 28%. Beans are 12% done but still waiting on a freeze so the mud won’t tag them and ruin my chance at the food grade premium

Ha. I turned down a few offers from "friends" wanting to save me some money. Lol.
Kinda a long story. My wife's best friend is a nurse that helps in the procedure. After strategically being out of town every time they tried to have it done and avoiding it for years they scheduled me an appointment. Normally they want you to go in ahead of time to go over the procedure yada yada yada.. Well I ain't got time for that nonsense...
If I can't get outa it just tell me where to be and get it over with.
No pamphlets or nothing. Shave your nuts is all I was told, and to be honest I didn't wanna know what was about to happen. All I know is every bull calf tried to get somewhere else fast while getting it done!
So I show up and meet the doc. He says the needle will feel "a little" like a bee sting but after that you'll be good. Great...
I'm laying there feeling like fish getting flayed and staring at the clock on the wall that ain't moving at all. Me and the doc get to talking and after a few minutes I realized he owed me money! Couple years ago I was custom planting some corn for a guy and got talked into planting 12 rows for his neighbor "for the deer". Never got payed anything and I never bothered to follow up on it. But it turns out it was the doc I planted it for.
What's the odds of that?
Laying there half naked with the guy hacking on yer sack I sure wasn't in a position to collect that's for sure!
Things didn't go so great on the "2nd half". When we got all done I told him about it and we had a good laugh. I was wanting to write smart ##* comment on the ceiling in little bitty letters for the next guy laying there but he wouldn't let me... I figured he owed me that. Lol.
Long story short a week later I still had a pair of 8 balls...
My advice is to anyone getting forced into doing it is to get in a truck and disappear for awhile!
