Not the service shop, they did however own up and agree to pay the shop bill here. Doesn't make up for 2 days of lost time though.

    Deff will.

After being in my uncles FL classic the last few months i forgot how noisy the old RTOO is or i guess RTXOO since its normal shift pattern. Caught myself a few times trying to split it like the RTLO.

To whomever it may benefit... It is VERY easy to tear up the splitter in an old RTOO with 8 on the dash. Has to be shifted by the book or it'll grind itself to pieces. Say it messes up at 70mph.. You gotta pull over to a crawl immediately to make it stop grinding. Will be junk by the 3rd time or so. Its also easy for those tiny spaghetti line ferrules to go in crooked and crush the line which restricts air to the splitters pilot valve and slows the shift to the point it doesnt mesh. I had to pull the aux off again within 4k miles on a fresh 9513. They sure do whine with them overdriven countershafts.

If youre speeding up, say from 6th over to 7direct you move the stick to 7O then split back to 7D. If youre downshifting from 8D to 7over you split up to overdrive while in 8th without lifting off throttle so it doesnt shift yet, then simultaneously pull stick out of 8th as you lift, and go fish for 7th. Itll land in 7over.

Anything else will give trouble in my experience. I was learning to drive my first unsynchronized trans while troubleshooting issues and thought it was me, so that let the issue get even worse.

The RTLO series is so much more foregiving.

Yea i pretty much drive it like a 9 speed and dont lug it in the big hole. Trans runs cool and so does the rears. Rtx14609B 14613 aux.

I opened up the taps in the big hole once on us 15 outside of Mansfield pa and it pulled those hills at 66-67 @72k
