I got $15 a day with the day devided into thirds. After he let the old hired man go he doubled it to $30 a day. That was 91 to 95.

The good old days, life was so much simpler back then.
We'd put up around 1,100-1,200 bales of brome and prairie hay and several hundred 1st & 2nd cutting alfalfa bales. Get a couple hundred in folding money and it would last all summer long.Logan76, SAR, Shock Therapy and 9 others Thank this. -
The good times was winning a Saturday afternoon Jackpot. Usually no more than a hundred, sometimes I had to ride ol San over there. At than time the name Mr San Peppy on top and Peppy San on bottom meant very little to me. I still don' put all my stock in a blood line, but I do know a good horse will put a below avg hand in the money his share of the time

Good ol vanilla soft serve. She goes into a trance while licking and won’t stop to even breathe unless you take it away from her.

Thinking that 3 Pennies a bale was on the low side but then we were getting .60/ hr.....maybe that 3 Pennies a Bale wasn't so bad
