Forgive my asking a seemingly stupid question, but if this were the case shouldn’t the issues he’s having happen in every gear instead of just the big hole?

What, no love for expanding your musical exposure? Lol.
I just thought it was cool how the song lyrics so matched with the comments by @PoleCrusher about being a FL native...

I would think so too. But less gear reduction in high gear and higher load%. Have to remember the computer adds fuel, not your foot. You can mash on it all you want. Ecm will only give your what it's set to with a stock tune. Torque limited in lower gears. The grey, or black smoke tell me there is a timing problem.

Engine droop. It senses load and does not give max fuel if not needed. That's what made Detroits a great early electronic engine and fleet motor.

But I have no guarantee in my thought process.

Sorry, I only listen to bands who were started by single income families, or who are paid in hot wings.

Plus on a 2 all wiring enter from one side. And has a replaceable PROM chip. DDEC 3/4 has wire on both side and all circuit board and processing drivers. Or what ever you call them. They are faster.

After looking at 1000’s of pictures, still never found a picture with us 3 couples in it. So we just made one tonight and sent to the Mayor.....
