This one has too tall of drops because of too short (horizontally) of ladder. We will be making it longer downstream and add drops so the fish don't have to jump as high, and have a better resting area before the next jump.

This comes out of a man made pond in which they built up the downstream (obviously) end causing a difference in elevation between the water in the pond and the stream of about 4'. This disrupted the fish ability to migrate upstream from the river toward their spawning habitat, and hence fish ladders are built. We usually build drop structures using boulders, but this is in a homeowner's association, and they want concrete.
