    So 3406A build begins Saturday morning. Assembly lube: just regular old 15W-40 or should I use an actual engine assembly lube?

    Use assembly lube. It will stick to everything better than oil. I use ATF on o-rings.

    Kinda what I thought. Especially since the engine's gonna sit for a year or 2. Not going to put the liners in until Christmas since 5 are on B/O until mid-December.

    Assembly lube. Stays in place unlike oil and turns into oil when th engine builds heat..... just my $0.02
