We're looking pretty hard at BC. We've got flat and boring here as well.

Banff, and the surrounding parks, has peaked my interest.

My wife told me civilians weren't allowed to carry in Canada. I figured there was some stupid rule about that somewhere. We're talking about flying up there, which means I have to go without any knives as well.

She looked at that as well. French being the dominant language, along with road signs in French, has her a bit concerned.

The infamous "Highway Thru Hell" is amother scenic drive. I've gone from Kamloops to Mission on the Coq, then back up to Kamloops through the Fraser Canyon. I'm not a city boy so Mission is about as close as I'd ever want to get to Vancouver.

FYI BC stands for "Bring Cash"

French is more a Quebec thing. English is still the main spoken language in the maritimes but a lot of New Brunswickers speak French as well. Brush up on your Newfinese if you head out east.

I could go on for a hour about explaining a long Bowie knife in a backpack that none of us in the pickup owned to a customs A-hole. 5 buddy's in a Lincoln and one thru his bag in the pickup 3 of us was riding in.

5 guys in a black Lincoln got waived thru.

3 hicks in a red chevy 4x4 get the full inspection.

    That was a sheetie day.

If you are into fishing then northern Saskatchewan is a great place to go. La Ronge is a fishing center on a huge lake in our boreal forest area(about 200 miles north of the start of the forest area). a fishing licence for a "foreigner" will run you $100cdn.

I went west from Calgary to Vancouver and it was the most awesome drive. I ran through the canyon - so no highway thru hell for me.
