It's the first time we tried it and was actually pretty good with a hint of smoke flavor.
    That sure is pretty!
Thanks! Did you get all done harvesting?

We still have corn standing in the field. We did harvest about 400 acres this week but it's getting too cold to continue. We had a friend offer his dryer so we could harvest some.

Lots of corn still left standing out our way. The moisture is still between 25%-28%.

@old iron how are you coming along?

Most of mine is off. Got 60 for a friend left that should have been done this weekend, but the co-op is back to winter hours.
8 to 4 and closed all weekend makes it tough to get anything done. Especially when you only get a one day window every couple weeks!!

It's been rough around here this fall. +30 moisture and light. Everything I've heard is you guys are the same or worse.

The corn around here is light also, 45-50 lbs.

We had a cold wet fall up here. There is still pockets of wheat, flax, canola and soybeans standing. We're fortunate to get all of our crops off except corn before the weather wrecked it. Lots of combines got stuck trying to get crops off.

Here are pics of the neighbors that got stuck. Some needed to be dug out with excavators and pulled with winch trucks. What a mess!

I can see where that would certainly ruin a farmer’s day.
