Good deal. Hope it kicks ### for you for years to come. Those single final galaxy’s always have some booming audio.
I notice the other day my base was giving me 3+ on the swr’s meter. Double checked everything and went across the coax. Found a bare spot, and since it had rained, water had gotten down in the jacket and ruined a 100’ run of LMR 400. It was getting old anyways, just glad my meter showed it before I flipped any switches(which is why I always recommend a meter in line). I am looking at over $100 for a coax replacement, right?
Not so fast. I went to see my folks this weekend, and Dad has a 1000’ spool of times 240 high quality 50 ohm, can handle 5600 watts. He doesn’t even use it, told me I could have the spool. I said just cut me 120’ for now and I can get back 10-8. He’s a cb hoarder kinda like me, LOL.Feedman, Hurricane69, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 12 others Thank this. -
Sometimes the way you get the daughter to come visit once in a while is to be the only people she knows with a shop vac when her car needs cleaning

Lol!!! Yea that's what most folks say...

Actually those white wheels are flywheels from a 1800's 20hp halfbreed oilfield engine
. Look closely in the center you can see the journal for the connecting rod. Flywheel on the right (thin) is the original steam flywheel. Thicker flywheel on left was added with the steam to gas cylinder conversion after the well was produced.
I needed an excuse to keep the perfect shape crankshaft..... so I make my wife yard art out of it
. That is an old cast iron pot I got at auction in the middle with flowers in it lol, grease and white phasing tape protect the journals the rest is white paint
.
Shock Therapy, Tug Toy, SAR and 11 others Thank this.
