There was a 5 speed mechanical Allison. Used for years. Knew a guy with a Autocar 8v92ta Allison, 2 speed rears that pulled doubles around here.

They shift brutally hard. But with his weight it was smooth.

 

Seemed like nice folks.

 

Flat plate steel off the mill rolls. Most is wavy but some is warped and bent like crap, just like some of this. I drop it off and they “level it” bend it out straight.

when I pic it up the next morning it’s flat.....
