    @SAR

    My farmer buddy was one of the few lucky around here and got his in early and most off. But some of the corn he was harvesting for others was coming in 25 plus. Told me his propane was about 2700 bucks running dryer 4 days. :oops:

    It's not a big operation either.

    Get the flamethrowers ready :violent3:

    Bought a Yellowmark spacer plate. Yeah no it went right back to the parts counter. Set a straight edge on it and it was twisted 3/16"! I even measured it and it was 0.001" to 0.0015" thicker than spec. Got a genuine kitty plate on the way!

    We took 50,000 bushels over to a friend earlier this month that had a drier and dried it from 21%-15%. We went through 6,000 gals :eek:

    The key is to get the corn planted early in the spring but Mother Nature doesn't always allow that.

    Right. The elevator I haul for did not even bring in enough to make feed for the year. If I haul corn, I'll be hauling it into them.

    Lots of guys didnt even get it planted due to rain.

    The place I used to haul for up the road normally has 2 million on the ground. They don't have any ground piles this year. They normally have another elevator that stores quite a bit there... Nothing. I don't think there is near as much out there as they are saying.

    I get back to running down south I'll ask Jason. They normally bag around 6 million.

    My dryer was burning about 80 gal an hour this fall. Thankfully Lp got locked in at $1.05 a gallon and not $1.40+ like years past.
    Still close to two grand a day...

    Big dryer huh? How many bushels a day?

    Omg. I'll tell Sam to quit complaining.
