Help me Texans- on 281 just south of Lampasas I think I saw the canine equivalent of Andre the Giant, this thing was so oversized I'm questioning what the heck I saw.
My aunt had an Irish wolf hound. This had the same hair and shuffle, but it was 2x as big, all white (once upon a time white, now kinda old white dog yellowish) with the wavy hair, the tail drooped down to the ground...his head was down sniffing as he walked.
I'm guessing over 3' tall at the shoulder. just a moseying along inside the cattle fence maybe 25' off the road.
I've never seen a dog that tall before that wasn't a St Bernard
They got something going on down there in Texas?singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, SAR and 6 others Thank this. -

@old iron a guy 20 miles from us had a 130,000 bushel bin of corn get hot yesterday. Supposedly it was run through the drier but never pulled loads out to core it.
It got a hot spot in the middle and they worked till 3 in the morning trying to unload it but had to call the fire department out to help.
They had to cut holes in the bin to get the corn out faster away from the flames. They finally got it under control this morning. Not sure how much was lost.Isafarmboy, singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford and 10 others Thank this. -
Met this bartender on mama's and I first trip down to the Keys. When the little girl jumped in the hot tub without suit....well it was probably good we had previously put mama to bed....
Anyway....the bartender was a engineer at gm in experimental so we related. Asked him his story and Yada Yada he divorced and bought a boat....pulled a wolf cub out of a den in Alaska. Said that dog always slept with him until his daughter come to visit....and brought her boyfriend. They came to a understanding the boyfriend was gonna sleep in a hammock on the deck.
He said you could here his claws pacing the deck all night except when he was laying in front of the door.
When I met him his girlfriend was working at the hard Rock. They would stop every so often and work then go out for six months. He met her in Jamaica. He need to change the light on his high pole past. Well...she asked if she could help him out so he rigged her up and ran her up the pole. She changed out the bulb and tested it then he tied her off and went to the bar
Ran into the same fella last time I was in Key West....he was tending bar at the chart room...one of my favorite hang outs.
Girl ran off and the dog had passed on....he was still smoking a big 'ol fat Cuban.
Long way around the world but I guess the question is have you ever seen a wolf cub???SL3406, blairandgretchen, singlescrewshaker and 10 others Thank this.
