Well today's story of being a hired gun for a large corporation goes like this.

Normally a expedited power only load would mean you are pulling there trailer.

Ladys ask "Were is your trailer"?

In my yard lady. This is preloaded like last week and like all the paperwork from you states, Preloaded.

Welp back at the yard getting my own trailer and someone got upset and accused me of gouging them for there F up. I told them I did gouge them, now do you want my truck and trailer today or not?

LoL this last part is so spot on, it's not even funny!!
This is exactly how I feel anytime I've taken a garbage load. Another thing that bothers me is in the event there was an accident or load loss the money is so bad it not worth risk. I can't imagine my insurance rates going up because of something that I was not even making money on to begin with..

 

Ok, so what I've been told so far & makes sense is..
That particular switch is a low air safety to keep the ac compressor off until there is sufficient air psi to run the engine fan..

Keeps the ac compressor safe from to much head psi..
Sounds about right to this Jabroni..

(I just wanted to ask you how you worked that transmission over.

I have a 14609 B in my garage that's is in A1 shape.

Did you guys take the auxiliary off of another transmission or did you buy that from Eaton?

Do you know if that would work for an RTX model 9 speed?

Is it as simple as putting that auxiliary end on the transmission? Did you have to shorten the drive shaft?

My truck is geared the same so I am curious about how you did that.)

Start of with RTX 14609B and take just the aux off of a RTO 14613. I believe a few things inside might have to be changed but don't quote me on that. It actually give you 3 od splits. .87 .73 .62.

You don't split like a newer rtlo. Ex say you wanna go 7H to 8L. You make the shift 1st then make the split. Downshifting you can split it regularly. I run it like a 9 speed until shes in the big hole. Run it like that and its a rock solid million mile trans. The local well know builder says the 14609b was the best eaton made in his opinion

Its gonna be noisy due to the older style splines(i think) and she'll run hotter than your prob used to. My uncles fl classic RTLO was louder in cab than in the mack. We have quite a bit of insulation on the floor.

Edit. The only reason we have that trans is cus dad goofed and bought the wrong trans .87 instead of 73 he planned for
