Mine is a grill. That I smoke it.

Most smokers have a offset firebox.

The auto feed pellet grills are simple. Not much to due. Set temp load pellets and let it go. I like tending the fire.

Neighbor has one. Blue tooth temp probes. Tells me its great so he can do other things. He is younger and I explained where he is ##### up. Cause my wife knows if I'm grilling or smoking my rear is planted right infront of it. Till it's done. Or I'm done. Whichever. Lol

My gas grill is completely shot. I’m having a hard time spending 6-700 on a pellet grill. I can get a nice gas grill for 300

@jamespmack beat me to it. The pellet grill is somewhat of a set it and forget it type deal. You still need to check on it, but you don't have to babysit it.

I was the same way about spending the extra money for a pellet grill. After having several gas grills, and now a pellet grill, I don't think you'll be disappointed in a pellet grill. Mine was under $400. It's by no means the fanciest one out there, but it works for what I'm doing.

Pit Boss Classic wood pellet grill.
Pit Boss Classic Wood Pellet Grill - Walmart Exclusive | Shop Pit Boss Grills

My wife visited with our son in law about this one before she bought it. He said it was a good grill. He is a production manager at yoder smokers south of town, here in Kansas. I can't justify one of their smokers yet. They build great smokers and pellet grills, but they're $1,000+ for the smaller ones.
