From what I understand is you can go to 37,000 instead of 34,000 on the drives up north. Also some need a 12'6" spread from the lift axle to the rear drive axle but yet needed to stay at a 244" wheelbase they spread the drives out Here is a pic of one truck we have on the farm that we bought up in Manitoba that has the 60" spread. silver truck.jpg

Must be from a long time ago. I've only ever seen large axle spacings on trucks that are like 40+ years old lol.

The truck with Canadian spread is a 93 model with the AG100 suspension. I like it so I can squeeze between the drives to grease LOL

That's quite a spacing there. I can't say for sure but I think most of the stuff around here these days is the same as the US. Wonder if the wide spread was an Onterrible thing. They do stuff really wonky out there lol.

It could be, this truck originated in Ontario. It's an old Laidlaw Carrier truck out of Woodstock, Ontario.

Just thinking back to the old iron my relatives used to run from the late 70's on I don't recall any of them having a wide spread on the drive axles. Even my 1980 W900 didn't have spread axle spacings. These were all west coast trucks too so that's why I suspect its a more eastern Canada thing.

I was going through some old photos and found these that I took of a tornado while on the harvest run in Colby, KS in 96. I was working for another crew at the time. Must not of been scared of anything back when I was younger! LOL
