    I forgot to say if it's rough to the touch I'll use the scotchbright pad and do a little sanding to start with before polishing.

    Looks looks your doing it right to me.

    the eastbound lanes were just slush, apparently

    and I’m up there playing “whose lane is it anyway” on top of snow pack o_O:confused:

    Uh-oh, you think it's been sucking in unfiltered air for some time?
    Glad you caught it. Was it rubbing on something to get thin or a bad seam?

    Appears to of been rubbing on the valve covers. Never noticed it before. The foam in the hood was hanging down a little....maybe it was putting pressure on it when the hood was closed. Think I'm gonna just take out the foam.... it's shot.
