@Hurricane69 I called the dealer today and they actually have a inside rim on hand. He also said they sell 5 rims a year, but are all outside rims. I really didn't get an answer on why they fail. I can understand the outside breaking if your on uneven terrain where all the weight gets put on that wheel.

Talked to a good friend that runs 3 red combines and said he goes through a rim per year. He actually was doing corn that same day as us and his rear rim broke. Must be bad rims everywhere the way it looks.

Oh and that new rim cost us $2,800!

Almost makes a fella wonder if they left the shipping rim on the inside and put the correct rim on the outside. There is a salvage yard NE of town that sells the used shipping rims from agco for $30 or so. People use them for fire pits. I've never asked anyone over at agco, but have been told by the salvage yard, the shipping rims are just for shipping, that's why they're so cheap to purchase.

Busy one today! The young fella and I got the rock truck into 2 pieces and all the hitch pins and bushings knocked out. Main pin was seized in the taper so we ended up having to drop the whole front A-frame and stick it in the big shop press. Last day on shift tomorrow so we're hoping to have the truck back in 1 piece by tomorrow night.

Yeah pretty much, might as well been dipped in gold!
Interesting. I believe the rims on this machine were correct. I did some searching on the internet and surprised to see other farmers having trouble with cracked rims, especially guys running duals.
