Where is everyone #5

Ive been searching it day and night since i booked the load in to get out of raleigh and its been a dud area on the board. Had to go back and forth a ton to get this turd up to $2/mi. Then i arrive, and think DAT must be busted, this is flat load mecca. But no, its really a DAT dead hole.

I realize now its a contract lifeline for whichever megas are in there, and theyll lose money on a few loads to keep it to themselves. Here i thought steel payed good by my last two lumber loads beat this by a mile. Paco steel. Thin flanges too so i cant jam down too hard with chains. opted to belly and top strap too. Little worried about getting skewered in a nashville brake check. Hence the screen walls and trip chain.





Bonus, free soybeans from where i slept last night.

 

Been in shorts and short sleeves since about 11 am.

Parked in Troy, IL. Drop this in the morning near the house. Then pick up another only going 75 more miles closer to the house. May even get that one unloaded tomorrow too?

Park City or west Wichita?

West Wichita is hit or miss on most everything, but Park City has always been good.

 

It’s by far closer to our yard than west Wichita. Plus a lot of street parking around there for food if I so choose.
