SAR on the Las Vegas Airways

 

Just a few hours behind me. Camped out in Angola, DE last night. Erie tomorrow and back home for a 34 before venturing up into New Hampshire.

Not that I usually run around with my foot to floor, but as I was giving it my best climbing Cresson today with some pavestone a load of billet went by making me feel like a Prime driver on the Autobahn. Thinking I need to open up the laptop and do some edits.

They either just completed, or are about to finish a Margaritaville right in my home town. I live in palmetto now, but grew up Bradenton. That little draw bridge you see in the background is sr64 or manatee ave bridge. Goes to Anna Maria island, Holmes beach.

Spent that better part of my youth on the public beach out there chasing tail, skimboarding, volleyball & party'n.. Good times. 13, 14yrs old, so ~'96 ish, I used to sneak out of my house, ride my bmx about 9 miles over that causeway & bridge to meet my 1st main squeeze, who live out there, just to fool around 2nd base.. LoL

This book was wrote by a Iowan that wanted to write about a legend....it's a good read...

Things ain't good and I think they are gonna get worse...

Dad ain't doing good and nobody knows how to pick up a phone and call me...

So I get a frank phone call from my mom....can you come help me in the morning cause your dad can't walk and I need help getting him in the car

My sister who thinks she's God or God like can't pick up a #### phone or call....who just took the stitches out of his face....he can't walk is what mom just told me..but don't bother calling your brother...

I might need bail money.....but I'll gurantee.... Dad is the first priority.

And my little Catholic girl...she will wip somebodies axx

 

That's a cryin shame. I wish your dad the best. Just keep in the back of your mind that there's a time and place for everything. Concentrate on your dad and his well-being and sort the rest out later.

I have a recording that is still on my phone to this day....

Well then you get on the phone and hire a medivac plane to get your parents back to the doctors that know them.


Fast forward.....dad thinks I'm selling his organs



So tomorrow I'll put him in the car..and we are going to the figure out how to keep him still with us a little bit longer

I love my dad.....by far the smartest most caring man but would never show it......but I lost my dad in that motorcycle accident.... Now I'm just trying to keep mom from going balistic...

I was gonna go look at a step deck tomorrow....plans change...
