Had a fantastic night all things considered. Gonna get The Stomach fed and happy in the morning and then head to Boeing Auburn to load out.

You boys with older parents be real careful with managing their finances. I have a friend with 7 years to go in state prison for a conpletely false embezzlement charge. The whole country is quietly adopting all these "abuse of the elderly" laws but its really a fast track for the nursing homes to gain guardianship and full control of people's estate. They can literally imprison the rightful power of attorney/health proxy/executor and inheritors of said persons estate using these laws. You go to court thinking your receipts are going to get the case dismissed, and the snake on the other side of the room succeeds in striking the receipts from admittance as evidence in the case. "Justice for jerry newton" will bring my friend up. NH ruined his life. "Freestate" my ###.

This very thing is going on with my grandfather right now in massachusetts. Get guardianship over your elders before the state can. Its purely a money grab. If they get guardianship they simply put tresspass orders on you, your attorney and anyone else who tries to advocate for your loved one's freedom. Never trust the nursing home and their rosy rhetoric. they are trojan horses going for the throat.

 

Made Big Springs, Nebraska last night. Headed for lunch in Edwards, CO to have lunch with my sister. I got no time to kill with just over 1200 miles to go. But her boyfriend owns a great restaurant there in town and I’m not missing out on either today no mater what the cost.

Good news is load was only 36k after I had to go back the second time for them to fix it, so that helps the speed on the uphills.

They tried that when my dad was in the nursing home. But I cut them off at the knees. Year before had everything transferred to my name. On paper he had nothing. Mom is living me and the wife now. The crap that medcare/aid tries to pull on her is down right shameful. If it wasn't for the wife staying on top of it , mom would have zero !!
