I’ll be seeing the truck in person for the 1st time in a hour or so. Freind of mine bought it to restore, 1975 W900. It looks to me like Freightliner suspension from the 80’s has been put on it....

99% sure that's a freightliner early air ride. Those ride terrible. But I'll see if I can find any parts. I would suggest to upgrade to a newer Airliner.

Made it to destination delivery. 375B3525-B006-4E87-89E5-1FA665FF239B.png It all came flooding back from when I lived here 8 years ago. No stress what so ever.

Now the trick is to get out of here with my shirt intact, this load did not pay enough to deadhead all the way home. I don’t have to make a killing but I got to get something. Without sitting here all week to get it.

I just to see it in person this morning. It is definitely early Freightliner.....

The truck will never do anything except pull tractors to the shows now. When done it will match his tractors.....

For the young guys who never experienced it, and us older guys who actually drove these trucks with “Air Assist” steering..... 99341C9E-1812-4AE3-B80D-2C5722A1804B.jpeg 4E27988F-AB87-4E86-8495-A746414FA050.jpeg

I'm surprised that is still on there considering the previous owner changed that rear suspension. Maybe they were the one in a million that thought it was better than hydraulic assist...

Wow!!! Thanks for sharing. No front brakes either?

Had a 76 Ford f 250 with that funky hydraulic drag link on it back in the day. That thing was a leaking wandering son of a gun. Was that system any better?
