Hope and I debated on how long to wait but little brother had his chance to be with her. And my daughter's little sister who lives in the Philippines has been able to Skype or FaceTime or whatever. That little girl had Ginger as her puppy from birth until she moved back to her mother's country at age 4. So it's kinda her dog too. It's amazing when you realize how much love a dog makes....zmster2033, MACK E-6, singlescrewshaker and 9 others Thank this.

I still miss my little bud. Lab/spaniel/border collie mutt we found as a mangey stray. Vet estimated he was about 2 when we got him and he lived to be 16. We had to put him down 5 years ago.

It’s a low speed thud sound coming from the floor. Like someone is taking a rubber mallet and tapping the firewall. Happens during left/right turns in truck stops, especially during a suspension cycle from a bump or just a dip in the pavement. Sometimes I feel it in the wheel but it seems to be more apparent in the floor like it’s right in front of my toes.
Two shops including our Arlington yard has inspected the truck and neither have a single clue since they can’t replicate it. I have been under the truck multiple times — we know I’m an idiot, thanks — but nothing. I’d almost guess it’s a mount or something with the steering column but the truck feels solid at highway speeds and nothing strange occurs going over bridge joints etc.
Anyone have any obvious suggestions? We have looked for anything looking out of place, loose, or just marks from movement — nada. My current thought is the steering box or the shaft as I’ve read about issues and the symptoms fit
truck only has 80k miles on it

Spring pins/bushings? It doesn't take much at all to feel it like that if there's some slop in the shackles or if it's the rubber bushed pins.peterbilt_2005, OLDSKOOLERnWV, cke and 11 others Thank this.

I would be looking at the slip joint for the steering shaft. They can get bound up a bit and have a lot of force when they pop lose. I never seen a steering shaft do that but seen lots of driveshafts do it with the same kind of splines.
See if it’s ever been greased? They get missed a lot.cke, singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford and 9 others Thank this.
