My parents have a '98 vette that they bought new.
I had to put a new battery in it the other day and blow up the tires because mom was gonna start driving it again.
Made me kinda nervous because the last time she drove it... Pulling it into the garage she hit the gold wing and pushed the back wall out about a foot from the foundation.

Those are holdovers from before I started trucking. It’s double bad for me because I don’t drive them in the salt now that I live in the Midwest.
We have a 2001 Durango with 190k on it we drive all winter. I have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I drive year round that I paid $1k for 5 years ago I haven’t ever even changed the oil in. I can be gone for a month and that thing starts right up. Just drove it to chase parts the other day 80 miles no problem.Eldiablo, cke, Swine hauler and 8 others Thank this. -

Your Grand cherokee doesn't happen to be a limited model.? If I recall one of my buds had a ~94-96ish. Had these pillowy seats in it. Very comfortable. Wanna say it had a 318 for power, not the 4.0L.. Was actually a pretty cool ride in its day. Looked good with 2 longboards on the roof..
I've put minimal mileage on my Durango, & it's been a decent ride. Actually the best kind because it was free.!! My uncle gave it to me in 2017, & I let it sit for a year before I bothered to get a tag for it. Except........ It loses window regulators. Close the door a little to hard & bam, the window just drops like a rock.
The 1st time it happened scared the daylights out of me..
I've replaced both fronts so far..

Can anyone spot the two flashing DPW trucks and flagger with a stop/slow lollipop on this one shared lane construction up in chatahoochee?
Heres downtown highlands NC.. Shops, crosswalks, cars and people all over. Mirrors completely gray and had to make a super sharp, im taking the full intersection, downtown right turn. All i could do was listen and feel for bodies & buildings as i idled the corner in low hole. No signal, no gps and only one possible road in and out that one must not miss.
3hrs of 10% grades and switchbacks with 50ft visibility or less. Id love to see swift train for real trucking.
Woe unto the 350hp 10speed that tries to get a load of lumber to highlands.Last edited: Mar 19, 2020
