I had a 36 Chevy 1 1/2 ton low cab like that red wrecker as my shop truck for years. My truck was a flat bed 207 top speed was 45, top cruse speed about 40. Sold it to a guy that made it into a hot rod.
I have always wanted an Advanced Design Chevy COE, have a soft spot for Pete and KW COE's too. First truck I ever drove was a 64 352 with a 6V71 and 4x4 box.

If my memory is correct it was an option, but actually produced from aftermarket suppliers. Somewhere I have an article on this setup.
