Gee that's a shame! Lol.
I have sanded, steel wool, polish and waxed alot of wheels. How is it for swirl marks? Must you follow grain? I hate swirl marks in tanks and wheels. I would rather them be dirty and dull than a poor job.

Depends on which soapstone you use. The brown one seems to do the better job today. I'm just learning...PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford and 6 others Thank this.

Looks awesome!!

I've polished rims on the truck before using the grinder and 8" wheel. I jack the wheel up so I can slowly spin it with my foot while using the polisher. It's not bad work but you have to polish by hand on the flat area and around the lugs.PoleCrusher, Swine hauler, singlescrewshaker and 10 others Thank this. -

Looks like your doing a #### nice job to me. I usually dismount them off the truck to polish the flats and the holes them mount them back on and do the hoops. I mean you got it jacked up already, only a few lug nuts then there off. 22.5 can be done on the truck but you got to be careful. Be a shame to tear your arm or fingers up and not be able to work because of polishing. I use a big Makita grinder now though.
I eat good most days. Sure has been nice being home. 1 or 2 showers a day and good food every night. I’m about wore out though. Got the paint on the walls, ceiling fan in from the attic side ( because we forgot to put it in before drywall ), base put in, and shelf’s and rod hangers cut for the spare bedroom closets. Going to pour the shower pan in the morning.Going to give this home repairs another week and a half then I’m going to start polishing on my truck before I see if I can find some freight.
