Where is everyone #5

It will probably be out of my system here shortly. The hotter it gets, the more I start to back it down. I love 35°-65° ambient. Feel that is optimal trucking temp for keeping bearings, rear, trans & tires cool at higher road speed. Don't mind the little tires on my trailer, but also don't really trust them much over 65mph when the mercury starts creeping above ~80°f..

Funny enough when I drove a rig that would do close to triple digits, I had no problem going slower. Now that I can only get to 72-73, I've wanted to run right up close to it.. Not sure what that's about..

This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands.. Start thinking about nonsense to gain 3-4 mph..! Dang rates need to come up. I'm ready to roll, but nothing worth loading all week.. Guess I rather roll around at 65 making money then 75 & not..

 

One thing ya learn as ya get older......how long do you really need it to last.

At some point it becomes not my problem.... If the roof leaks for ten years but my bed is dry do I really need a new roof???

Yeah, too my knowledge. Mine is a RTX12609b.. Being able to split the top end would be nice..

I don't think I'd mind a little trans wine tossed in the mix. It would just add to the current ambiance of shakes, squeaks, & rattles I've already got going on..

I wanna say my uncle's bk 500 was set at 2200 or 2250 maybe? I know it was over 2100 and she liked 1700-1900 on a pull. Took some getting used to coming out of a truck happy to pull 1500 on a hill

 

I chickened out on mine and ordered a fiberglass base.

 

Those old 9 speeds are dang near indestructible..... You don't want to pay to rebuild the back box on a 13

I'm generally pretty happy with my outfit, & the way I operate is pretty laid back usually. Last month or 2 though I've really found myself pushing the truck to the limit, & I probably need to reign it in, instead of finding a way to make it go down the road faster.. LoL
