The hell kinda tree is that in the picture?

 

Looks like a palm tree. He does live in Florida.

 

I've never seen a palm tree before in real life. Then again the furthest south I've travelled is about 45 minutes into ND.

 

Tree on the left is a palm. the thing on the right is not a tree.

Well now, its overgrown pretty bad.. I've actually spent most the week trimming trees around my little jungle. I started on the west side, did most of the south, & this is on the east side, which I (not really I) was hoping to start on today.. But it's raining so I got the day off..!

It's called a Giant Bird of Paradise. It is supposed to look like this..

Oh, man a couple of lesbians lived here before me.. They planted so much crap, on top of crap it's a literal jungle. Not to mention sable palms ( or cabbage palm whatever you like) just seem to spring up out of nowhere.. Then I've got this awful bamboo on the south wall that spreads wildly. I've already cut this same equivalent on the SE corner.. I always dump my old fuel filters on them, but its useless. Thinking I'm going to try & smother them with a cheap tarp once I get these cut down to stumps.. Not pretty. Any want some free bamboo.? LoL

Need to get myself a spread like @Tug Toy That's the kind of lawn maintenance I'd like to get down too.. LoL
