Around the root ball, or all the stalks near the base..?
My rig, trailer & all is in my yard. The trailer is actually inches away from the bamboo forest just to get the front gate to close..

Same way my 11pm stroll turned into a 14km walk till 3am.
Keeping in mind I live in the country. Just me, the yotees, and geese.singlescrewshaker, rda2580, PoleCrusher and 8 others Thank this. -
The only way you’ll ever get rid of it is dig up everything or ruin the soil so nothing grows. You can cut it to about a inch of the ground, then moisten the soil, then cover with ammonium nitrate and cover with clear plastic. Leave it like that until winter time.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t have some try to come back in 2-3 years.singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher, dwells40 and 7 others Thank this. -
Me too..gotta clean house.singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher, 650cat425 and 4 others Thank this.

@singlescrewshaker just a few thoughts.
Pusher axle going in front of your drive axle.
Tag goes behind drive axle
Both has its benefits, both are hard on drive axle tire wear on a single axle truck. Will cut your drive tire life almost in half. Both add braking force. A tag with a dump valve can give you a shorter turning radius. Both suck in the snow worse than what you have, unless you can lift them.
My opinion if you were to add a pusher with enough tires and rims to make a 40k tandem set. Just make it a twin screw.
Now maybe a 10-12k with single wheels that is lighter might work for you. Just depends what your end goal is.singlescrewshaker, Tug Toy, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
No idea, i never fooled with bamboo! Lol.
If tugging it out dont work you could sawzall it all off flush, then make up a spray killer to wreck the PH of the ground. Bucket of mostly water, dump in a gallon of vinegar, a handful of salt and a few shots of blue dawn. Its a surfectant that will help this mix really seep. Dose it with that and lay some planks or junky dunnage ontop the stubble so you can back the trailer onto the pungee patch without stabbing a tire, and have more room at the gate. Between the PH change and the darkness itll probably stay down.singlescrewshaker, Tug Toy, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
Mattock, or a pick, and a spade. The combination of either the pick or the mattock and the spade seem to work the best. I like the bamboo for the privacy screen it makes, I just wish I could control it better. The phone line makes that very difficult.
A mini would work good. The main rhizomes stay in the top 6" or so of soil, the rest of the roots go down about 20"

Or just sharpen the bamboo to protect yourself from aerial attack.singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt, Wasted Thyme and 10 others Thank this. -
I had to warn my daughter several times to not drive through the edge of it after we cut it back.
She got lucky both times.
