The long part above the holes just rides in the housing. Its not really sealing anything. The housing has some deep ridging. Well deep enough to catch my finger against anyways. Spool slides smoothly and oil PSI on the dash gauge was about 80 cold before I stripped the truck down.

 

In one word.......NO !

Will the saver pump bolt onto the non-saver lube pump? Just looking thru the inlet/outlet ports at the gears and what I can see of the housing look good. Just gonna pop it apart now and take a better look.

That I dont know fer sure. Haven't worked on one with it. Probably be at the shop tomorrow and I'll look at the one I got laying in parts room.

Holy crap that is hysterical. Lots of places we can go with this, but hey we're family friendly right?

 

I just pulled mine apart. Brakesaver pump housing has very minor wear. Gears look great. Lube pump housing has virtually no wear. The ridging inside the lube pump housing for the regulator isn't terrible. Wonder if I'd get by with a new spool and spring? That spool just slides up and down to regulate pressure, right?
