Reminds me of my uncle. He was at the hospital on his death bed with cancer, and he said. Well it looks like I am going to leave this world just like I came here, "but naked and flat broke"

 

Surprisingly i have managed with Zero debt so far. House hunting is back on got approved for for more than i was expecting. So so so glad our steady outbound is going back to work/F Cuomo

 

My great, great aunt Kate lived to be 100. 1912-2012 was worth in excess of 450k and gave most of it to the nursing home. F that.

 

My grandfather passed away at 85. He had dementia and the last 4 or 5 years of his life were pretty sad. Just existing for the sake of existing. Once in a while you'd see that spark of recognition in his face when talking to him but mostly he just sat and listened. I honestly would rather be off the planet when at the point I can no longer function on my own than waste away in a home for 15-20 years.

 

And its not like my parents are leaving me and my little brother anything lol we don't expect anything besides the house, if i don't buy withing a yr or 2. They're wanting to move south. Carolinas or Tampa area @singlescrewshaker @FoolsErrand LOL, F the heat lol mason dixon lines bout as hot as i can take

 

Sentimental value here id pay market price and a bit above.

 

That's how my aunt was got dementia at about 94. Recovered from a broken hip at 84 and 91 and walked with a walker again lol. Said she wanted to see me graduate high school and died 32 days later.

 

Last post for the night bit drunk celebrating getting our lane back today and it's the old mans B-day.

Also not far in Disputanta, maybe 10-12 miles I think, there is a Flying hook right across the street from this bbq joint. They do breakfast till 1100am I believe.
Been to both places twice, & they were great both times..

 

I'll catch up later. Legal or not me and the father inlaw had to meet for cigars and beers. Guess we like eachother because of are females dislike for us lol. Nice to have inlaws that you like. Me and him would never break up.



This morning had to have a meeting with a gent up north, not trucking related. Came home buy my old place, nice to see it looking ok. Reminds a guy of a simpler time in life.
