Bloomington Illinois. Dropped my digger here Friday morning at 8:30. I’m 2 hours from John Deere in Davenport, Ia. Dispatch tells me to sit here till Monday. Sucks because I know I could’ve been loaded and gotten 6-700 miles down the road and had a really good week.

 

Still ?? All the other teams sitting as well ??

 

Is this the longest “hurry up and wait” you’ve had in your career, or was there a longer sit?

Is there any sort of detention?

 

2 group are stuck en route, not able to make certain turns ... so new route is needed and then the 2 group have to complete it before we will get permits. The 4th group is stuck here with us.

yes by far the longest screw up ever .... The trailers have been loaded for over 2 weeks

 

I could only imagine. You in the truck or did you work out a weekly rate with a motel?

I think I’d rather be stuck in Corpus than to be stuck 2 weeks on some farm road in the middle of nowhere.

Zoe and I finally bailed from the truck end of last week - we had been in the truck except for a few nights since Jan 24th. We checked into a fairly nice hotel here in Brownsville last Friday. Laundry, swimming pool and the staff loves my girl.

 

the hard part is there are 3 trucks in my group and 8 pilot cars - all sitting
