Argued with the wife for along time bout wanting real butter. She would get those sticks from the store thinking that was real butter...very salty. I brought some home from an aumish friend.....its all we use now !

 

I understand completely. Due to rough patches with my parents as a kid, I ended up staying with my grandparents for a bit. My grandpap would drive me to school and I would ask every single day to hear his ww2 stories or stories from when he worked at J&L in Aliquippa. I've told my kids those stories over time, but nothing beats hearing it from him all those years ago. It's the simple things...

 

Have you ever seen those giant rolls of butter at the store? They are quite pricey, but supposed to either be amish or farm direct.

 

No I havent.

 

Well, when the economist of the house ain't lookin, I'll toss one in the cart and let ya know how it is.

List ?? Chicken wrapped in ham breaded with italian parmesan, with Swiss cheese melted on top. Along with mashed taters and homemade noodles.
