That whole system up there is a joke.
They assume everybody up there either works for them or exclusively for a contractor. We fell outside that scope. We worked for whoever rented machines from us. We could have 6 machines rented to 6 different customers on a single site. Each time we'd have to go back to the gate, swipe out, sign in under a different company and swipe back in again to go look at a different machine. Didn't matter if the 2 machines were parked 50 feet away from each other.

I was offered a company job lots. Would have been a retirement job. I couldn't accept the bs. When I left i was the owner of the computer interface to communicate and program GM vehicles. They had to ship them to us in Edmonton. Thats how my dealer got into trucking. Worked out good for me.
The other guy i worked with, security also removed all his flashlights. HahahPoleCrusher, 650cat425, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
Those flashlights were the bomb! Wonder what they spent on those things every year?PoleCrusher, 650cat425, cke and 4 others Thank this.

They were free issue in our supply cribs. Punkin heads used to throw em out when the batteries died. I put new in one, turned it on, went home for 5 days off. Came back, still going. I dropped 1 in the marina in kootenay lake on vaca under our boat spot. Glowed for 5 days. When the marina owner hired a diver to retrive a bouy anchor, the diver brought it to shore. He gave it back to me the following year. Been gone 7 years, i still have a few new ones.
Awnser to how much? Autoshop spent about 8 k a month.PoleCrusher, 650cat425, beastr123 and 6 others Thank this. -

That's awesome! A before & after! LoL
They must be pretty good too last 10 years, & be waterproof. On for 5days under a dock too..
Been looking for a nice light to keep in the truck. Look like $25-$30 US. Think I'm going to get one. Thanks!

Winner!
You get it. Lots of the guys don't. They refused to work with each other or even communicate, and show up on a jobsite and raise hell with the site rep, because he won't even talk to them about getting unloaded until the entire set shows up.
Had a truck break down on 287 around ChildressTX, I shot up to Amarillo, dropped my blade at the Freaky Jesus truck stop (that old Pilot truckstop where they wrote 'Jesus is Lord' everywhere on the interior and exterior) and went back to get the stranded blades while the driver took his rig to the shop. Next morning, we were all ready to go.
We had a trailer blow a hydraulic line while pulling into the StaMart in MitchellSD. Driver had the exit ramp and both sides of the highway blocked. We pulled the hydraulic line off of one of our trailers and put it on the trailer and steered it into the parking lot.
Glad you are moving, Big Ronnie. Also glad that you have a good group of people around you.kwswan, Eldiablo, PoleCrusher and 10 others Thank this.
