there is nothing wrong with that truck if it has the specs you want. Make sure the frame and cab is clean. Everything else can be fixed. Can’t be to picky when looking for a specific older truck. The trick is to buy it at the right price knowing it will need EVERYTHING repaired or replaced. 30CF8372-69D9-4762-8070-5882DF5A67F1.jpeg

Yep, the more it is examined, the worse it's getting..

Look in the upper right hand corner of the pic. Possibly another bad sign.. o_O

    Dream squished!! :p

LoL, hey I'm glad I wasn't the only one fooled by the pics!! It still looks pretty good to me in the pics. But they are right, in person it's not going to justify a $30k price..

You know, this might be silly, but just noticed the stereo speakers are missing in the bunk. Another bad omen.? I know the outside of my rig is no prize winner , but the inside is clean, & organized at all times, with no gaping holes where parts should be..

In my defense, I dont normally use good sense with stuff like that. I bought my current 379 based on it being a long hood flat top with a mechanical cat. I looked at the fluids and got any maintenance history I could of course, but i was buying it regardless, unless the frame was broke or something like that. Lol. My exact thoughts were that I had my basis on which to build. In summary, dont take advice from me on buying a truck.

Honestly, if the oil samples come back good, frame and cab structure are in good shape and the diffs aren't rotted out you've more or less got a solid platform to start off with.

That was basically my thoughts. Year didn't matter as I was originally looking for a 359. I figure paint, upholstery, tires, and anything else can be fixed, rebuilt, or changed. Besides, when I bought it, the rat rod look was all the craze. Lol

Yea don't take me for a high class guy. Little luck and some elbow grease you can make money with a 5k truck. But you can't over pay, for anything.
