I once sat a mostly drank soda can down on the edge of my catwalk while unloading in Wisconsin and then drove 600-700 miles to Kansas and went to do something in the back and saw the soda can sitting there and had to stop and think about that for a minute lol.650cat425, Brettj3876, Wasted Thyme and 7 others Thank this.

Dang. I had figured she might be gone by now..
Seemed like a good truck. I had never really considered a 9400 before cause honestly, it's not my style cosmetically..
I'm starting to think if/when buying an inexpensive truck, cosmetics & style should take a back seat. Just look for one that has the specs I want, & well maintained powertrain. One to keep earning, a stepping stone to what I really want. You offered that, & I didn't bother to come look cause I didn't like the color. Foolish of me..

You should see the dealership that truck most likely came from:
Edmonton Kenworth Leduc
I took a drive past there this evening. Its HUGE. Looks like they've even got a dyno bay. There's at least 2 dozen brand new stock trucks in the front lot. Back lot probably had dang near 100 units parked out there.
42nd street is the back lot, Airport Rd is the front lot.650cat425, Brettj3876, singlescrewshaker and 8 others Thank this. -
See thats where its upto you to make it look good cosmetically. The truck I mentioned, looks exactly like TugToys, just not as shiny currently lol. Already has a drop visor, and nice bumper iirc. Engine is rebuilt (sitting at the shop that rebuilt it) but was overheated. Someone tried to redo the interior with a "custom" built bunk in the sleeper out of wood. Its not horrible but needs to be finished correctly. No seats in it either. But for 5k and probably a total investment of less than 20k to make it perfect, it'd be a killer truck. I dont have the time or funds to take it on as a project, otherwise Id already own it.
I dont know what type of frieght you're planning on hauling, but if you're gonna go flatbed/stepdeck and be able to gross 80k, you wont hate the C15 (especially in front of a 13spd). Im a Detroit fan as well, and Ive run a very well tuned 550hp 12.7. Good fuel economy and enough power to run as fast a I wanted to go or pull any hill. Yea, a C15 wont get quite as good of economy, but when you're pulling a heavy load up a big hill, you'll love that big yellow thing lol.
Or I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but you could always just swap a 12.7 or 14L S60 into your truck along with a rear frame cut off section. Then you get the engine and capacity you want.cke, 650cat425, Brettj3876 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I kick myself a lot for not buying any of the first trucks I looked at. Stupid, stupid reasons that I turned my ignorant nose up at them. Like a butterfly in a field, I passed a lot of flowers to land on a turd.cke, 650cat425, Brettj3876 and 4 others Thank this.
