Having a source of quality parts is a big plus.

Aftermarket never seems to hold up like factory.

But way easier to fix. The worst is the ram . Have to undo motor mounts and raise the engine..

An old Chevy. Part of the reason for switching to team Ford was because GM's design team started smoking crack.

I'd have to pull the coils to check. The angles and mounting are not very nice for getting the probes in there lol. Its just a single bolt holding them in so no big deal.

Based on unplugging the coils, #6 seemed to do the least to make the engine stumble. Not quite enough to convince me though but enough to make me want to pull the coil and possibly the plug.

Any engine size or fuel type in a Eseries ford cause many nights of drinking. Esp the 7.3l with ambulance package.

I would find spec for resistance and check it if you suspect it and wont cost you a dime to check.

Next is a warning, maybe others have more experience with distributor less engines. But I'll say you be darn careful plugging and unplugging a coil while running. A cracked housing or cracked wire/boot could be deadly. Your in the neighborhood of 40,000 volts of D/C current. It takes 1 amp to stop a heart.

I shut the truck off, unplugged one, and started it again. Don't want to be shocked or put a voltage spike in the system. Plus I'm short and can't reach the back 2 on either side without climbing on the engine :(

Yea the range fork we pulled was PAI not the bulldog. Fingers crossed that and a new o ring kit fixes it. From what i can see gears look fine. You should see what the peanuts look like in the power divider. Lol not good. Every now and on low side it would clunk.

At this point a set of cut offs is looking really attractive......get ride of those 4.42 for some 4.17s. This must of been one X1's trucks for being like this with 550k. At least it isn't rusty so it sort of evens things out o_O

Any idea what I should be seeing for resistance on the primary/secondary coils? Been looking online for about a half hour and all I can dig up are specs for an early '10s 4.6L Ford (0.55 ohms/5500 ohms). Guess I could always measure all 8 and if one is way wonky of everything else then I know which one the problem is.
