Where is everyone #5

I can't find a 5.0L video but this 5.4L sounds pretty dang close to what I hear:



Thinking back, this POS made the same ticking noise 2 summers back. Just rode with it and it went away after a couple weeks until now (80k km later).

 

Whats your oil life like?

 

The noise on the 5.4 was due to a dowel pin that would wear and cause slack in the locked position. The tsb was litterally to put 10w30 in instead of 5w30

 

I usually get it done every 8-9k kilometers. Oil life monitor in the dash is usually at 40-50% when I hit that mileage.

 

How long till you're due for an oil change?

You could go up in weight and see if it quits

 

I thought the rockwell was basically an Eaton? Don't know if that was just lunch counter talk or not but heard they were sued for copyright infringement? The 93 had one against the dash 9. Smooth as butter

 

Just did one a couple days ago. Been running 5W-30 the last couple over the 5W-20.

 

Except its a integral bunk. No wall. Its 58" like mine. There will be cabinets between bed and seat.

 

Just gonna ride with it for now. If it gets worse I'll probably take it in. Probably not a good idea for me to do it myself. I'd probably be $6k in the hole with new performance cams and intake
