If you want and ive still got them I think ive got some spare ones i got with my engine id send to ya for freesies
As common as a 351 is i find it hard to believe that there's not any factory replacement parts.
I will agree with it running better on carb vs early efi. The early stuff used bank fire injection instead of sequential like they use now.cke, PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -
Out with the old stand up AC unit. Didn’t work very well and my new little generator won’t run it.
Put in a new window unit that only draws like 450 watts. Been running all Day in the hot and humid shop with me goin in and out cleaning. Holding 70 deg. Should be able to run it full blast with a little over a gallon of gas in 12 hours. Seems WAY more efficiently than the old set up.
Ready to roll out in the morning.

Valve cover gasket is reusable. Its a silicon o ring style and if its not hard and flush with the valve cover or damaged when you remove it you can reusecke, PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

Could you find a small diesel engine to replace the one on the generator to plumb into the tank? Curiosity has me wondering. Nifty way of doing it tho for sure. That doesn't create heat under the bunk?cke, PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this.

I'm going to buy a spare one just in case it gets damaged. The little gaskets around the VCT solenoids are starting to weep a little so good time to change those too.clausland, cke, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this.

I'm not that ambitious lol. I did find a sweet IROC Z just south of here. Like 80k original km and it looks mint. Thinking it'd be nice to have a backup plan lol.

2 of mine got damaged in shipping on my 5.0 so I replaced them. The valve cover can be a ##### to get off but the solenoids are easy enough to change just be super careful not to drop a bolt down the front covercke, PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

Been there, done that. Did a head on a baby Perkapiller a couple months back. One of the buttons on top of the valve stem stuck to the rocker when I lifted the rocker shaft out. Then it slid off and down the pushrod bore in the head. Jammed up against the pushrod. Couldn't get a magnet to it. Pulled the pushrod out and by pure ####house luck it fell square onto the top of the tappet. Just dropped a magnet down and picked it out. I was sweating bullets for about 10 minutes though.
Still not as bad as the guy who started an engine with the timing pin still in the flywheel........clausland, cke, PoleCrusher and 7 others Thank this.
