I have tried to get my mom one. She just prefers her 22LR with a scope. I worry about her being 72 out in the country by herself.

Wife has a .380 Sig that I'm not a fan of. Trying to get her convinced a .357 SW hammerless is way better to carry.

Yes I know lots of people say a wheel gun dont have enough rounds. But if you cant stop them with six rounds, 7 ain't gonna help you.

I know some women that carry, BUT I don't know a woman that EDC carry. The majority of them bought a gun and never fired them. I carry IWB most days unless I am on a long ride and then I will carry the Rhino in a shoulder holster open and a backup 9 IWB. But what works for a guy doesn't necessarily work for the women, does it?

It's kinda sad really. Boys and uniforms and what have you. Is it correct. is it incorrect. Clothes make the man. Bah. I wear exactly what I have on in that little picture. Actually same top right now lol. Until the weather changes.
Middle aged women figure it out. You're going to judge me. Brilliant. Idioti . Appropriate. Inappropriate. We get it in blatant form so we figure it out. When someone is in an ungenerous spirit they will judge harshly. When they are in a happy place they judge gently or not much at all.
The judgement is more about the observer than the one being judged.
And this is Jack Handy. Signing off....

Finished the trip from Humble, TX to Eddy, TX on up to Spirit Lake, IA and Harris, MN. Made my drop in Harris this morning and just made it to Ritchie Bros. in Medford, MN. Unfortunately i have to go back northwest to Morris, MN to grab a John Deere 6105M tractor for the 2nd stop. Gonna slide south to Spring and Crosby, TX with this load. Back to the heat and humidity!

It's a nice 84° day here in Medford though! IMG_20200710_140650.jpg

Exactly, Ma's getting up there & I don't want anyone to think she'd be an easy target..

I'm guessing your wife's .380 Sig is similar, but nicer version of the LCP Ruger 6+1 .380 I got. Really light, ~11 or 12oz loaded pocket pistol basically. Yeah, they're ok, but you're on to something. .357 packs a punch compared to .380. Think 6 .357 is better than 7 .380.
That's also why I mentioned those hammerless pistols. I think the snag free designs are nice..

I think so also. Looks like a solid piece at an affordable price too..

Those are both really cool too. I've never fired one, but just assumed the recoil would be pretty rough. Maybe I'll take a stroll to the range & see if they have one I test out.

    Forgot to add...

Some guns will not have much in the way of aftermarket support on things like holsters. Or even specialty ammo.

I bought a Remington Tac14. After I bought it, I realize that the market favored the Mossberg Shockwave, in particular in the area of minishells.

That I actually prefer. While she doesn't own one, she has put at least a 50 box though 5 different guns. Probably 150 through the G17. I respect that over owning, yet not putting a single round though it..

Very true. I go AIWB for glock 30, or XD .40. The LCP I keep in a pocket holster, usually a back pocket..

So the Rhino. Lots of caliber & barrel length choices. What spec did you go with if you don't mind sharing.? & does the under slung barrel really help for felt recoil.? They are quite a unique looking piece as well..
