Got loaded in Covington, LA yesterday. Pulled in at 0900 and didn't leave until 1400. Had to sit and wait for Louisiana to produce a permit because the tracks are 106" wide. John Deere and Ritchie Bros. say the tracks are 8' 3" so I'm thing no permit while I'm en route to get it. Doh!
I loaded this at Doggett Machinery in Covington and let me tell you it is a crap place to load in the heat of the day. The location and the way the property is situated is horrible because there is no wind whatsoever. Humidity was at 84% and the temp was 100°. I made myself sick loading this thing. I was drenched with sweat and overheated my body to the point I started throwing up. At that point I grabbed the water hose and stood there for 20 minutes with cool water running over my whole body until I started to feel better.
PSA:
No matter how old we are or how acclimated to the weather our bodies just cannot handle some things. Our bodies will let us know when something is wrong so while out in the heat and humidity make sure you take proper care of yourself to avoid getting hurt!
On a better note this John Deere 135G looks cool on my trailer!![]()

Whats what's with y'all thrownin up?
Simple trick. Take a t-shirt and soak the upper half in water then put it on. Do the same with a ball cap. You can also add a wet bandana around your neck. Oh and screw jeans and boots in this heat. Shorts and tennis shoes it is.
I do this every day Im f'in around with tarps.jamespmack, Wasted Thyme, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh and I dunno if its just me, but when I remember to buy some, I mix in those packets of emergen-c into a bottle of water. Has a bunch of vitamins in it and I always feel better after drinking one.

I originally stated out with a wet bandana from the fridge around my neck with my hat on. Yesterday was just a sweltering day being surrounded by trees and no wind witch such high humidity. This is the first time in my life this has ever happened.
I carry my mobile weather station that I use at the Drag strip. It's a digital instrument in a little aluminum case that tells temp, humidity, barometric pressure, , density altitude etc. The heat index was 116°.
The Emergen-C packets are good. I put them in my water almost dailyjamespmack, Flint1, clausland and 4 others Thank this. -
