@Tug Toy
When I bought my current outfit it came with 3.08's. It came out of Texas and I'm in northern New England..... There isn't a flat piece of ground longer than 2 trailer lengths here, it's either up or down, especially the two lanes, where I spend most of my time.
My intent was to immediately swap out the gears to 3.55 or 3.70. As it turned out I kept them for almost a million miles. Mostly because I'm just too frugal to replace parts that ain't broke, but also because they were able to do the job. As @PoleCrusher said, they suck in the hills when you're heavy. Flat ground, light loads , with a 13 speed you'll be fine. -
Guess I’ll walk over to Kay’s and throw some groceries down my neck.....
