One of those days today.

I'm on my way to a job site to drop off some ductile iron. About three miles from the exit I need to take my work phone rings.

"Where are you?"

"Mile marker 24, almost to the job site exit"

"Turn around and come back. Need you to go to the water commission to pick up two more sticks of 15 inch ductile from them. I'll text you the contact number for when you get there"

"Wait, you want me to turn around now?"

"Yes"

So I turn around going "WTF?" Get to the water commission and no text has come in. Phone back to base and I get "Never mind, just come back to the shop"

I go back to the shop and the response is "Wait, I though you were going to get unloaded before you headed back?"

"YOU TOLD ME TO TURN AROUND RIGHT AWAY!"

"Oh... I guess I did. Ooops. Sorry bud, you can beat me up later"



But on the up side I'm enjoying a cold brew.

Y'all know I don't like nothing but flat glass 900 L's.

 

I started hauling it in a Pete 379 with less than sufficient air conditioning, so I wore shorts. I learned real quick that stuff gets stringy in the wind, and it attaches itself to you at 320 degrees Fahrenheit. It will take the skin with it. Soles of my tennis shoes started melting when I went to open the door on top, so I switched to boots and blue jeans and just sweated instead.

 

Norfolk Nebraska, me and this burrito theivin bovine hustler is tuckered out just gonna camp here instead of at the delivery spot just up the road.


Yea y'all read that right turned my back on a king burrito for 2 seconds and it was gone without a trace

HA ! YOUR IS SPOTLESS. Compared to mine. Haven't had a wash in bout two months. Got the pressure washer out this evening and kinda knocked.some of the grime off. I think whenI get done with my gravey run tommorow it is going to get the brush and wash mitten treatment. I still think your truck would look a hell of alot better with a 4th axle under it and me sittin behind the steering wheel..... just an opinion.
