I focused heavily on the guys driving old Pete’s because I’m a bit envious of their wheels hehe not just them in particular; also I’ve been accidentally using my brights during the day for like the past 100 or so trucks, might be part of the problem...

I’ve seen that a couple times and I always wondered if it was some fancy tarp with tie downs already attached to the tarp, but it would seem it’s actually rope displayed in the picture; I find bungees to be a pain to mess with, rope would likely last longer depending on the quality

Is it even worth driving on your recap if all the time you have for the next two days is 3 hours and 5 hours? I have a little over 11 today and I’m gonna run most of that out delivering, just doesn’t make much sense to me to pick up a new load with that amount of time

It would depend on the particulars of the next load. If your short recap hours are enough to get to the p/u and the delivery is far enough out, use the short hours to get the load and get to a good place to doa comfortable 34 or maybe just a 24 giving a second group of short hours to combine with the remaining.

Well...apparently, my friend stopped for a nap in Fort Davis, TX about 20 minutes ago. Had to be 1400 miles in the first 24 hours with all the zigzagging.

Doesn't sound fun at all. The worst part about it is, according the Hoka Hey rules listed on wikipedia, they can't get a motel room. South Texas in the middle of summer, crazy miles, and no bath? Now, I understand why that one guy was heading north and everyone else went west. The guy went home.
