Man that is one nice tarp job tho . Wonder whats underneath to warrant putting dunnage on top ? Look at that trailer bending inwards where the load is at. He is one indiana pothole away from having his trailer split in half it looks like

Around winter time last year, part of my grandpa’s garden in the field

 

Had to think on it for a sec, but it looks like he's using the dunnage on top to get down force across the whole load, and to do a better job holding the tarp down than just the chain.

Probably not how I would have done it, but still gonna file it away for future reference.

 

Thats what i was meaning with the dunnage, thinking some kind of metal tubing or something to keep it from walking thru the front of the tarp.

 

That's what I was thinking, has the look of a load of tubing. I wonder if that trailer has a coil package the way it's flexing.

 

It just breaks my heart to see nice tarp jobs ruined by straps over the top or in this case chains... usually when there is straps it is because they dont know how to tarp or they are just plain lazy . But everyonce in a while i see a spectacular tarp job with straps over the top of it and i just ask myself why .... Just my personal opinion. I have put exactly 1 strap over my tarp in the time ive been flatbedding and i felt embarressed but it had to be done
